The average number of days on the market for a home has increased this month to 92; the past 5 months it has been 43-51 days on average. An explanation as to the reason for the sudden increase in days on the market and decrease in sold homes, could be due to the average sale price of a single family home is now at the highest level that it has been in the past year. In terms of days on the market, not much has changed. Homes spent an average of 51 days on the market in March, 43 DOM in April, 46 DOM in May, and 47 DOM in June and July.
